Waterfront

Beautiful three bedroom water front cottage located on Hay Bay in Tobermory just 2 km from downtown.

Sit in the screened in porch and watch the birds go by.
Set in the privacy of cedars, natural tiered rocks down to the water. It features a huge dining room, cosy living room and large main floor family room with patio doors to the expansive decking.
Bright and sunny and yet with the warmth that wood walls and ceilings give.

The kitchen has patio doors to the deck for easy barbequing. There are 2 bedrooms and a 4 piece bath on the main level and a large master bedroom upstairs with an ensuite and it's own private balcony overlooking the water.

A perfect place to swim, canoe, kayak, and relax.

Waterfront Description & Nearby Activities

Beautiful natural tiered rocks descending onto Hay Bay. Rare location where the water is close to the cottage, don't have to hike out to the water. The waterfront has a rocky shoreline with a shallow entrance that drops of into the deeper water.

It is recommended to have water shoes as some of the rocks can be sharp or uncomfortable to walk on.

Great location near the scenic Village of Tobermory where you can stroll through the shops in the village, visit the ice cream shops, restaurants and the beautiful natural harbour, or take a scenic boat cruise where you view shipwrecks, lighthouses and visit Flowerpot Island. Also, dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are very popular.

For hikers, naturalists and scuba divers, the area is a dream. A 10 minute drive away, guided tours are available along the Niagara Escarpment, or along the sandy shores of Singing Sands on Lake Huron. Amphitheater programs are available at Cyprus Lake at dusk and are informative and entertaining.

Had a fantastic couples getaway here - beautiful scenery, clean equipped home. We hopped on the canoe or kayaks multiple times a day, spent a ton of time (although not enough) on the Bruce trail, had drinks on the porch overlooking the water, made fires in the pit for roasting marshmallows, and completed a puzzle or two. House is plenty large for us to bring the kids next time.
Recommend making sure you are stocked for evenings as not much is open late - making for a peaceful vacation. Thank you!
