| We love this little cabin. It's clean, quite, well maintained. Both times we've stayed George stopped by for a quick "Hello" while out choring. The property is huge with, with waking trails. The night sky is stunning with no light pollution.
Both Char and George are pleasant and easy to deal with. We don't hunt, fish, skidoo etc. But come up to get away from the busy city life it's a perfect place to sit on the deck and read a book during your morning coffee, have a fire in the evening, or curl up together while watching a thunderstorm. The appliances all work, fridge, stove, microwave. A TV for movies. Stereo for news or music. It's a perfect little cabin to escape city life for a weekend. The price is well worth it.

| What an amazing place. So relaxing and peaceful and so beautiful. We loved roaming the trails by day and and evenings by the fire listening to all the wildlife and cows in the distance. My dog of 11 years just loved it. Such a great experience for him. Such a nice change from the craziness of city life. Exactly what we needed in this strange world of 2020. And George is great, wonderful conversations of the past on the farm, just amazing the history here.
Thank you and hope to return in the future.

| We had such an amazing and peaceful week at the cabin! The property is beautiful. Very central for mini day trips. Nothing better than having a fire, roasting marshmallows under a sky full of stars! George Turnbull was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the farm and surrounding area.

| We stayed here on 5-7 Aug 2020. I would say only one word to describe our experience at this place- Serene. Absolute calm, peaceful, and untroubled. Well groomed lush green farm with plenty of things to do for nature lovers. We went for long walks in the farm and woods, lie down under trees, gathered and cut the fire wood, played soccer, flew kites, read books etc. etc. Kids (10 and 5) loved playing outdoors, kite flying and pit fire were their best. My 5 year old was so excited to see an open fire and observe it that close first time in his life. Star gazing at night, absolute clear skies as you can hand pick the stars. Reflecting moon-light from the pond created a mesmerizing stare, my wife loved it. Also, when we reached there, we found a creek, flowing right through the property. Awesome surprise! Cabin itself was very neat and clean. All amenities were there. Bed was very comfortable. Sit on the patio in morning and evening and it will just fill you with energy. We are regular cottagers and perhaps this was one the best experience we had. Also, as George explained this property has a big heritage value, around I think 150 years old!! George was a kind person and so is Charlene. Excellent response and help we got from them. Thanks George and Charlene for making our stay 'a memory for a lifetime'. We highly recommend this property and sure will go back. It is a wonderful, awesome break to cut off from city and spend some time 'living' in nature.

| My husband and I, along with our eight-year-old standard poodle, stayed at the cabin this past weekend, and had an enjoyable, relaxing time. If you are looking to stay in a four-star hotel-type house, this place is not for you. But if you simply want to get away from the hustle-and-bustle of life and enjoy a quiet, relaxing weekend in the country, I recommend George and Charlene's place. Yes, the décor is a bit dated and worn, but the place is clean, and the bed is firm and comfortable, and it's incredibly quiet and peaceful. The cabin is located near the farm house, but the owners are not intrusive, and give you run of the property. We cooked both nights we were there in the little kitchen. There is an older TV but there is no cable, so bring DVDs. The farm is located between Durham and Hanover, and we went into both towns and did some wandering. The back of the cabin has sliders to a wooden deck, which faces out to an expanse of green grass and a pond. I read a book on the deck, my husband went fishing in the creek, we took a lot of walks, and the dog spent the entire weekend fetching sticks and playing in the water. George even took us on a tour of the farm in his truck, and we enjoyed seeing the property and learning about its history. He also collected wood for us for an evening bonfire. The mornings and evening are particularly beautiful ? living in a city I have not seen so many stars in a long, long time. Thanks George and Charlene!
