| Not a fan of excellent on the other hand 9 1/2 out of 10 Having said that.I fell in love with this cabin when it first came on the market I believe in 2012. Having fallen in love with the outaouais 4 decades ago camping trailering cottageing & many wood and log cabins this honey has your attention from first glance. The wrap around covered deck invites you towards the river with mirror reflection of the trees and shore line I just wanted to sit outside watching the ducks and geese swimming by listening to the sounds of the forest. Inside wraps you in a hug of tastefuly decorated antiques with wood exposed beams drawing you towards the wood stove. You want for nothing while sitting in the warm leather couch gazing out at the river. The name of the cabin fits so well with canoes hanging from thr rafters along with the canoe book case.City life drains away while a relaxed peaceful feeling encompasses you,one word says it all PEACEFUL.Mine was a winter experience along with ice fishing a stroll away to Lac McArthur My friend Sonia who has a beautiful cottage on Lac Bernard was taken with the warmth, charm and peacful feeling, she gives it two thumbs up!! It was hard to leave but the memories I gathered will last a long time. For two people do not hesitate to book this romantic

| What a fantastic cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Le Canotier Cabin. An absolute slice of heaven where we could enjoy nature, cook our own meals and listen to records all night. Beautiful rustic decor and amazing views. We definitely will be coming back; thank you so much!!

| This was our second stay at Le Canotier Cabin. Our first visit was incredible and so we went ahead and booked our fall stay as well as another stay in the spring of 2018. The cabin is a perfect blend of modern amenities and rustic charm. Walking through the door is akin to walking into Cottage Living Magazine. The decor, cleanliness, design and coziness prompts you to immediately unpack, settle in and head to the dock, with beverage in hand, to begin unwinding. For my husband and I, who parent a child with medical fragility, we were in desperate need of peace, quiet and solitude. Not only did we receive all of these things, our lack of contact with other people allowed us the space to really relax, rejuvenate and reconnect. The record player with the vast selection of albums is a highlight. We spent hours listening to great music, playing crib, talking, snacking, napping and just finding our way back to each other. Walks along the lake and a canoe trip down the river got us out of the cabin to enjoy the natural surroundings. I have to say that although lovely, the photos on the website do not do it justice. This is a perfect getaway for couples who want to take a breather from their busy lives and spend quality time together in a beautiful setting. We will return again and again. Guaranteed.

| We have been returning to this little piece of paradise twice a year since our first visit in 2013. There is no place we would rather go to unwind, relax and reconnect. There is such care in every little detail of this rustic yet beautifully maintained and decorated cabin. Every time we go we fall in love just a little bit more and hate when the weekend comes to an end. Puzzles to do, games to play, records to listen to and the peaceful outdoors to enjoy. Everything you need to relax is found in this perfectly put together package. Not one complaint ever, this place is our favorite getaway hands down. Janet and Don are so wonderful and kind and put so much thought and care into making everyone's stay magical.

| This is the most beautiful cottage we have stayed at. It's very quiet, comfortable and relaxing and offers all the comforts you would expect from a cottage. Nestled in the woods next to a creek it gives easy access to the lake for canoeing or kayaking which is provided. My wife and I love this place and have been coming back for the last 5 years. We recommend this spot for its location, rustic look and it's just the best place to unwind and relax. Looking forward to booking for next year and possibly a winter weekend to spend by the fireplace.
