Jaw dropping experience! Wow, where do I start. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we couldn't have picked a better place. The log cabin is gorgeous and spacious with everything you need. The property is massive and has a very beautiful waterfall right on it. The view from the dock is easily worth the price of the rental by its self, we woke up at 5am to catch the sunrise on it and it was worth every second and we got some amazing pictures. There are plenty of places near by selling fresh organic produce on the side of the road if you want to save money on groceries. Mike the owner was very nice and was a phone call away if we needed anything. The pictures on this site are nice but when we got to the cabin we were blown away with how beautiful it really was. The worst part about our honeymoon was leaving, we were very sad to leave this cabin and hope to be back as soon as possible. I highly recommend this cabin.
Magic Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is in an awesome setting. I would say magical. The host was welcoming and friendly which reinforced the relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend this property. Jennifer, Toronto
we stayed 3 nights in the perfect cozy cabin. very clean and well maintained. we had everything we needed for a romantic gateway. we loved having morning coffee in the orchard with birds...and on few occasions we saw a beautiful doe and her babies. we loved Gates Lake so much. it was clear, clean water and not too much activities. i think June is probably more calm then the rest of Summer. there was no one at the property so it seamed that we had the all big lot for ourselves. the canoe and the deck is just what we needed. Canoeing on the lake was really heaven! we loved driving to Pemberton were we ate at a delicious organic restaurant and tasted organic spirits at a cute distillery. We loved the all experience and wished we had more time so we need to go back. Sonia Ojai, CA, USA
Sublime! Simply beautiful. In addition to the absolutely sublime vistas surrounding this immaculate property, the hosts were so very helpful and kind. We will most certainly be back to this cabin. Well stocked, private, and pristine. We would love to get there in the fall. That would be breathtaking! And the winter! Definitely again in the summer. Spring time, too...you just can't go wrong with this place. Bobbie, Canada
Winter Wonderland It's not often you find a property that actually exceeds your expectations from the website photos. The property is spectacular. It felt like we were stepping into a Christmas Card. The Cabin was so homely and cozy. It had all the creature comforts for a fabulous White Christmas stay. We will be back. Belinda, Canada,
Wonderful cabin for a getaway! We had a wonderful couple's getaway to the Gates Lake cabin. Great combination of relaxing by the fire, and outside activities of hiking (we made it up the beautiful waterfall) and canoeing. A truly lovely property! Tim, Vancouver, 2014
A family get-away My sons came home from college and we immediately took off to this wonderful oasis in the mountains. We were excited to find it is actually layed out so well inside, it never seemed small in any way. Those with young men know getting them to travel with parents isn't always easy. We spent a week together. They NEVER even turned the TV on. We played games, cards, listened and played to music, read, played football- you name it. Many family hikes to the lake and falls and surrounding areas. They enjoyed the night life in Whistler while my husband and I enjoyed the romance of the evening sky. We all desperately needed relax time and the quiet and natural environment was a prescription for health and well being. We are all in agreement that this was by far our best family vacation ever. The wild life around was fantastic and the photography was truly an experience. It was an easy drive from Seattle. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone from family to friends to romance- it truly has it all. The owners were always available if needed and stayed in touch throughout the whole process. The deposit was returned in full as soon as we got home. NO hassles at all. Don't think twice just book it, you will be forever glad you did. Many many thanks to the Log Cabin at Gates Lake for our wonderful family vacation. Jean, Texas, 2013

| We spent 3 nights and we had a fantastic time. We had acres of land to ourselves plus private access to the lake along with boats, pedal boats, etc. The cottage is clean and very comfy. With serene and beautiful surroundings, we had such a relaxing time and the kids had a blast. We ran into Mike and his wife and what a lovely couple. Super hospitable. We'll make this cottage a family tradition going forward. A great place to disconnect and spent some private quality time.

| The cottage is fantastic, surrounded by nature, cozy livingroom with fire place, two porches and a (gas)BBQ. Wildlife in the garden and a superb crystal clear lake 500 meters from the main cottage. We've had a great time with the various boats on the water and fishing from the dock. Caugth a couple of nice sized Rainbow trout with bober and worm. We've also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his wife. They are very friendly and helpful.

| We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. Gates Lake, Birken, and the the surrounding area are as breathtaking as the photos suggest. We are a family of four (kids ages: 8 and 10), and the whole experience was dreamlike in its perfection. Highly recommended!
