An old style cottage , cozy, comfortable, warm, fully renovated and available all year round. There is
a beautiful four piece bathroom with a large soaker tub and a spacious shower, the living room is
comfortably furnished and there is a dining room and a well appointed kitchen. I have the driveway
cleared when necessary and the cottage is on a school route so once you are there during the winter
you can enjoy yourselves and know that when it comes time to leave, there will be no worries.
Eileen's cottage is central to everything on the Bruce; the cottage has two bedrooms, one with a
queen size bed and one with bunk beds and a single; there is satellite tv, DVDs player, vcr and a
large library of movies for young and old. There is a one room bunky by the water which makes for a
good place for the kids to play on a rainy day. The cottage sits on an acre and a half of woodlands
and there is a stream running through the property; it is also in a deer yard and during the winter
the deer wander the property. There is a screened gazebo down near the water so guests can relax
without being bothered by the bug life. The stream on the property is great for frogs, minnows and
crayfish so if you have young kids, it's a good place to get rid of them for a few hours each day.
North 25 kilometres is Tobermory where you have glass bottomed boat tours over shipwrecks,( the
water is Bermuda clear), dinner cruises, the observation tower where you can look out onto the
Bruce, boat rentals and a variety of restaurants. There is a sandy beach (Singing Sands) just a ten
minute drive away and the boat launch is two hundred yards from the cottage. Fifteen minutes
away is the national park on Georgian Bay where the Bruce Trail and the world-famous Grotto
are. A new swimming area we found on Georgian Bay is Little Cove at the end of Little Cove
Road off Highway Six near Tobermory. There are several gardens which are open to the public
that sell plants; go to www.ruralgardens.ca. For Winter activities try
www.thebrucepeninsula.com/winter. Golf courses in the area are Tip O The
Bruce, Cornerstone, BP Golf and Cobble Beach. The water levels are coming
back so now we can launch our canoe into the Bay and from there
into Lake Huron. Scugog Lake is a short walk from the cottage, it's a small inland lake but it's nice to
canoe.

There is a front deck and a barbecue on the back patio. The cottage has been almost completely
renovated and is very comfortable in summer and winter. There is a boat launch two hundred yards
down the road and 'Singing Sands', a large sandy beach is a ten minute drive away; it's a good
beach for kids because the water is warm and shallow and you can go out a long way, Sauble Beach
is an hours' drive away. The two neighboring cottages are not very close
so the property is quite private. It is on a four season road so winter rental is no problem.
