During our stay we were fortunate enough to admire the Super moon rising from the dock. The glow and reflection was something right out of a movie. The loons calling throughout our week added to the soul awakening music of nature. The lakes and leaves glittered with raindrops and sun reflections. Taking the canoe out and around the island was peaceful and heart warming. We had rain but it never dampened our mood our our ability to adventure. Swimming off the dock when the thermometer only read 10C was full of shrieks and yelps, but also; laughter and joy. The water began to feel warmer than the air and we had a blast splashing and floating in the middle of the lake. My absolute favourite is the sweet cedar smell of this cabin. It brings love, peace and contentedness to us. Closing my eyes to bring in all my senses makes me feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to share this special place with someone so special. Ingrid, your hospitality was sensational. Thank you for all your time, effort, care and love you put into this amazing cabin and property to make Cooper Lake experiences soulful, breathtaking, peaceful and serene. Can't wait until our next visit to Cooper Lake. Krista and Michael, Calgary, Alberta
November 16, 2014 Thank you so much for the perfect getaway! AND the most beautiful place to get engaged. Dave proposed in the middle of a snowstorm at the top of Hardwood Trail overlooking Smoke Lake. We could not have picked a more perfect place to celebrate of the most important decisions we have ever made. So thrilled to have Cooper Lake Cottage as a huge part of this story. With many thanks (and a lot of giddy excitement!!!!:) Arielle & Dave
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to enjoy this perfect peaceful place! The cabin and its fire place are just so authentic, we loved it. Thanks to the Algonquin Park Pass, we walked the Hemlock Bluff trail on Saturday, it was a really nice walk to start the winter season. Coming from Toronto, we loved being here surrounded by nature and such different landscapes. We are hoping for on thing now: finding the time to come back as soon as possible!! Olivier & Roxane, Toronto and Catherine, Lille, France P.S. Again, thank you very much for your help on our arrival. You are such great hosts A bientot :)

| A truly beautiful cottage with breathtaking views. Our family loves coming here. This was our second visit to the cabin but the first time that we met the owners. Ingrid is a considerate and lovely host. The cabin is attached to the main house but it is properly soundproofed and private (we were up for thanksgiving weekend and we couldn't hear anything from next door). We look forward to our next trip up to the cabin.

Owner response: Hi Katie, It was such a pleasure meeting your family! We are often away so it was great to finally connect with your family. Your children will remember the lake and forest and grow up wanting to connect with nature and all that brings. We look forward to your next visit and whether we are here or not we know you will enjoy time with all Cooper Lake & Algonquin Park have to offer.

| We had an absolutely outstanding time here! The cottage was very well equipped and very quiet and secluded. An incredible place to relax with the upmost of privacy. You get an amazing view of the lake too! You are provided with an Algonquin park pass which is amazing. Just a few minutes up the road and you are able to experience the greatest provincial park that Ontario has to offer. Ingrid gave us some suggestions on a few sights to see nearby and we were not disappointed! Ingrid and Bob are very kind and generous hosts who are always just a call or text away from helping you in anything you may need. We look forward to coming again!

| Beautiful cozy cottage!
This cottage exceeded our expectations. It is nestled amongst the trees overlooking Cooper Lake. The cottage itself is perfect for two adults and small children as it is a one bedroom but it does have a futon off to the side which was perfect for the kids. The hosts were wonderful and greeted us shortly after our arrival but then we were on our own for the remainder of the weekend. Although the cottage is attached to the main house, it is extremely quiet and the fire pit and deck are all separate. It is kind of nice to know you have someone from the local area nearby if needed.
The cottage itself was very clean and contained all the amenities including linens, towels, books, games, microwave, shower, etc. The lake is small which was perfect for us. It is a short walk from the cottage but a canoe was provided at the dock which we took full advantage of. There were plenty of fish right off the dock which was a huge hit with the kids. An additional bonus was the park pass that was provided for use during your stay. It enabled us to take in the many hiking trails and sights. There are lots of great coffee shops and bakeries in the local area. This place is an all around win ... great price for a weekend of fun and an escape from the city.

Owner response: Hi Rhonda, Thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to write a review. It was a real pleasure meeting your family and knowing you were enjoying all that our cottage and area have to offer. Exploring nature, discovering new sights, sparkling lakes, rushing waterfalls and nature hikes are what we encourage our guests to enjoy and your family took them all in and more. This is a place to discover or to restore and both are important elements found in nature. Wishing you luck in your move and thanks for sharing images of your happy family. Ingrid & Bob

| We stayed at the cooper lake cottage from March 19-21. I was looking for a quick serene get away from the city before my wife starts her chemo therapy (currently fighting breast cancer). Even though we work and live in TO, we try to stay away from the city as often as I can. We were looking for a small cabin surrounded by trees, close to water, serenity, hiking trail, and an outside fire pit. Cooper lake cottage provided exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is attached to the main cottage however it felt like we were far away from the closest civilization. Every night we looked at the stars by the fire pit outside while listening to crackly fire. Then we cozed up by the fireplace inside til we went to bed. 15 min drive west to Huntsville can provide everything you needed, the same distance to east will get you to the Algonquin that needs no further explanation.
We will be back for sure and I have no problem introducing this cottage to my friends and family.
Thanks Ingrid, Bob and Kai. We miss you guys already,
Peace and love,
Eddie & Donee

| Not the first time and not the last one neither! My wife and I have been going to Cooper Lake for the last three years and it's always a wonderfull time! The cottage offers everything you need by a perfect balance of authenticity and comfort. Ingrid and Bob give all the privacy needed but are always around the corner if required. I came during winter with my mother who walks with crutches and Ingrid offered us a couple rides and assistance when needed. Thank you so much for everything and see you next year
