Our tiny slice of heaven is the rarest Gem in the National Capital Region. Literally on the water, situated in the historic Village of Wakefield, our chalet is one of the only locations truly on the beautiful Gatineau river.
Guests this year have been really happy. We want to thank you for your love, support and all the care you've put into the cottage, to help us keep it in such great condition.
Waterfront: Literally on the river. Heating: Gas Fireplace and electric heat Children allowed: Yes. Children should wear life jackets when playing outdoors. Smoking: Outdoors only.

Location Information: From Ottawa, cross the MacKenzie King Bridge into Gatineau, QC.
Follow HWY 5 North about 20 Kms (15miles) until it ends at a stop light.
Take a left at the light and follow HWY 105 North to the next set of lights.
Take a right at the lights toward the village of Wakefield.
Once in Wakefield, take a right at the flashing light & follow Chemin Riverside.
Our cabin is on your left, literally "on" the river.

Rates may vary for events such as Winterlude or March Break. Preference is given to guests booking the whole weekend over a weekend night, especially during long weekends and holidays. Check in is at 4 PM, and check out is noon. With some notice however, we can be flexible. Detailed instructions for the cottage are provided. High speed internet, parking, and internet TV are included. Prices include all taxes. A small deposit is required at time of booking. All prices are based on double occupancy. You can access the grocery store by boat or canoe. 4 golf courses nearby. 5 local ski hills, including 1 in the village. Horseback riding is about 10 minutes from Wakefield. The Black Sheep Inn and Kaffe 1870 are within walking distance. World class groomed x-country ski trails within minutes of the cottage. Theatre is within walking distance, as are some excellent restaurants. Our piece of paradise is the ultimate Canadiana getaway, without sacrificing the luxuries of home.
