Parlee Beach - Shediac Bay, Pointe du Chene

The cottage is approximately a dozen or so strides from the beach with views across Shediac Bay. The property benefits from a large living room with separate dining room. There are two bedrooms, one queen and one single, on the ground floor and two additional bedrooms (both with double beds) on the first floor.
The master bedroom and the living room both have ceiling fans. There are two additional stand-alone fans available.
The cottage is fully winterised, available throughout the winter and has recently been redecorated throughout and raised, providing excellent views across the bay from the living room, dining room or the deck.

Cottage Rental Facilities
The cottage is fully furnished with a well equipped kitchen. To the rear, the property has a wonderful, large deck and a good sized lawned area with trees for shade in the summer.
Renters automatically become members of the Pointe du Chene Tennis Club. The courts are less than a volley from the front door, just the other side of Second Avenue - rackets are supplied!
Additional facilities include a BBQ & Firepit, Radio/CD, 37" flat screen TV, DVD player, wireless broadband internet, telephone & Wood chip burner in living room. There is a full bathroom with powershower downstairs.
The laundry room includes a separate sink with Washing machine, Dryer, Iron and Ironing board.
However, the best facility is the area itself. The swimming is great in the summer, either from the beach or off the newly refurbished Pointe du Chene Wharf. Parlee Beach is a child’s dream come true with long stretches of warm, flat, golden sands and shallow waters to keep everyone safe. The seafood is wonderful, the people friendly and welcoming.

Rates
Rate ranges from C$500/month (plus heat) during the winter to C$1100/week in the high season. No daily rate. 25% deposit required to confirm booking. Renters arrive not before 3:00 pm on first day and should depart by 11:00 am on last day of rental period, which is usually Saturday to Saturday, but can be negotiated. Available for long-term winter rental with discount. Contact owner for details.

Notes
Pointe du Chene is the superb location for a restful vacation by the beach during the winter or summer. The world-famous Parlee Beach is a brief five minutes walk in one direction while the equally famous Pointe du Chene Wharf is a five minute walk in the other direction. The owners favourite local amenities include 'Capt. Dans Restaurant & Bar' on Pointe du Chene Wharf, 'Greenough's Bakery' for the best bread and baking anywhere in the world and 'The Green House on Main Street' for fantastic local produce cooked to perfection.
From Second Avenue you are only 40 minutes from Confederation Bridge and Prince Edward Island, less than an hour from the Fundy National Park & the world famous high tides at the Flower Pots and 40 minutes from Nova Scotia. Three quarters of an hour in another direction will take you to the Irving Eco-Centre, La Dune de Bouctouche. On the way you will pass by 'Le Pays de la Sagouine'. This is a must do visit.
