Description
|
The Beach House, with 2 separately rented rooms, is a 2 storey building situated directly on the Atlantic shore, fronted by a sand and pebble beach. A small freshwater pond and brook border the eastern side of the property, a 3 km sand beach the western side. Michaud Point offers the perfect picnic destination, with seal and bird sightings and spectacular coastal scenery.
If your vacations normally include lots of activities there are many from which to choose: kayak instruction and rental at Kayak Cape Breton, on the Bras D'Ors'; surfing lessons at Point Michaud beach, area day trips. Kids can fish in the pond, play at the brook. Fishing from the rocks (depending on the surf) may yield a mackeral dinner.
The area's beaches and coves wait for exploration; shore birds abound, eagles are frequent visitors. There are clams to dig, berries to pick, the sound of the sea to lull you to sleep. Or if your ideal holiday is simply reading and relaxing, this is the place.
Waterfront: Sand and pebble beach directly in front of house. Heating: electric Guests allowed: Yes. Paying. See rate notes.
Equipments:
2 separately rented rooms, with large windows overlooking the sea, are accessed by a private stairway and take up the entire second storey.
Each room has a full bath, a queen-sized bed, a futon couch/double bed, and a kitchenette with sink, mini-frig, microwave, coffee maker, etc. etc. A small freezer in the hall store room will accommodate your ice and frozen foods. A propane barbeque is available for grilling and cooking your fish, lobsters and clams and a fire pit is on the shore. A low deck overlooks the beach and the deck chairs are waiting for you.
All bed linens, towels, kitchen and dining utensils and basic breakfast fixings are provided. Each room has a radio/cd player but no tv; when you look out the window you'll forget about television.
