Lions Den is 1800 square feet of elegance and comfort..beautiful vaulted ceilings through out..lots of very open floor space..all ceramic floors and hardwood..no carpet. The rooms are very stream lined with no clutter! And the skylights!! 6 of them!!
We have had guests secure summer weeks from as far away as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Quebec and Ireland!! To us that speaks volumes of how truly special our Lions Den is! and they all chose our Lions Den over all the other properties that are available for summer rental on the Bruce Peninsula!! | We planned a two week stay at this beautiful place in Lions Head which this area is where my forefathers come from. I still have family in the ares. The first was Joseph Waugh who emigrated from Ireland in 1866 and in 1879 built his family built the Lions Head Inn which still stands today and is a popular eating spot. We enjoyed the beaches a water both of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron along with the beauty of the surrounding nature. The property is just perfect. Our family including our grandchildren made staggered visits through the time and loved it at well. It took no time from our arrival to feel relaxed . | The Lion's Den is our home away from home and there is no other place that makes us feel so comfortable and so at ease. We've been coming to this magical hideaway on the Bruce Peninsula for 6-years for good reason. The secluded grounds are perfectly situated for meditative relaxation and provide quick access to the beautiful waters of Georgian Bay. Inside, the decor and amenities of the Lion's Den immediately draw you in. The open concept is wonderfully designed with attention to detail at every turn. Each year, we return to new upgrades that make an already amazing place even better. After days of hiking our favourite spots on the Bruce Trail, we love returning to this spacious home base for an evening of star gazing by the incredible fire pit. The Lion's Den has provided some of our fondest family memories and we truly wish we could be there again, right now.

| Beautiful home, amazing garden, where hummingbirds come to play and chipmunks eat from your hand. Ample parking space and very secluded, yet within walking distance from the marina. We've launched our 16ft boat in Lion's Head, as well as Tobermory (only 40km drive) and a couple of places in between. Dyer's Bay Government Dock was particularly nice because somehow the water was warmer than most other spots. Also, we've seen The Grotto from land and from water, thanks to Jane, who prompted me to make reservations in advance. Last but not least, Lion's Head is a cyclist's paradise: ride for as long as you like, then pull over for a quick swim when you need cooling off.

| Our family just spent a week at Lion's Den. A wonderful time was had by all! Outstanding accommodations with all the comforts of home.
Beautiful grounds with interesting highlights; the frog ponds were a hit with our Grandsons!
Everyone enjoyed hiking in the area and especially enjoyed the time around the fire pit in the evenings.

| Thank you Jane and Bill for allowing us to enjoy a week of quiet comfort. We very much enjoyed exploring the town of Lion's Head & Grieg's caves, and were amazed at the incredible colours of the waterfront. Bill's iron working skills are incredible and gave a feel of opulence in and around the cottage, while still having the feeling of "being away" from the big city. Nicely done Bill! But by far, the most enjoyable portion of week for us was the fire pit every night. Quiet sounds as we gathered around the fire to roast hotdogs & marshmallows, while enjoying a few beverages. We felt so at home while being away, and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation.
