Our cozy adult-orientated self-contained cottage is the perfect retreat for guests who want to enjoy the beauty, peace and tranquility of nature in a secluded rural setting, or are looking for a romantic get-away, that is also within easy driving distance of towns, golf courses, ski resorts and other visitor attractions. Situated on our ranch, the cottage has its own grounds and is only a few hundred feet from the shores of Hahas Lake (Stoney Lake to the locals). The cottage has gorgeous views of the lake and the Rocky Mountains, and wildlife abounds here. With some luck and patience, you might see deer, elk, moose, bear,coyotes, bald eagles, loons, geese, ducks and painted turtles from the verandah of the cottage, or you can mingle with our free-roaming goat herd, guarded by our dogs Kika and Yas. Spring and early summer are especially exciting on the farm, when all the kids are born.
Spring/summer/fall activities: hiking,fly fishing, fishing, hunting, boating, canoeing, swimming, horseback riding nearby; hot springs and golfing within20 minutes to 2 hours, and much more. Winter activities: cross-country and back-country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides nearby; hot springs and downhill skiing within 20 minutes to 2 hours.

Equipments:
Open-concept main floor with fully equipped kitchen, dining and living areas, bathroom with shower, wood-burning stove (firewood supplied). Upstairs is an open loft with your choice of a double bed or 2 singles or a sofabed downstairs. Satellite TV/DVD player, games and books provided. Free use of canoe, ice fishing gear (license required). Campfire site with picnic table; patio and propane BBQ. We operate on solar power with generator back-up.

Location Information: "Last Paradise Cottage" is located on an operating goat farm at Hahas (Stoney) Lake in the Rocky Mountain Trench, between the Purcells and the Rockies. We are the only residence on the lake, which is surrounded by undeveloped land. Last Paradise is 18 km north of Kimberley on Hwy 95A, then a short 3 km drive west on Lost Dog Forest Service Road.

Rates Year round: $100 per night/2 people Extra person $15/night 10% discount for 7 days or more check-in 3pm, check-out noon Cancellation policy: 1 nights rent or 50% down payment (whichever is greater) required at time of reservation, which is fully refundable( less a $10 handling fee) if cancelled 7days prior to arrival.
