"In the Stillness" operates a professional counselling / teaching practice and offers self-guided or guided retreats in the Judeo / Christian tradition. (See www.inthestillness.ca)
Come for quiet self-guided or guided retreats. What a perfect place to quiet your heart. We invite individuals, married couples and families to come rest, reflect, and renew. To aid in helping you settle from the busyness of life, we keep our facilities media free, smoke free, and alcohol free. May you find deep peace during your stay.
Vacation with a difference! This is a nature lovers paradise with a wonderful outdoor chapel, fabulous views to the bay, a large trail system to explore, and 190 acres of wilderness to discover.
Identify the footprints of the wildlife along the trails. Stand in the stillness and listen to the birds in the trees and the surf on the shore. Hike to the lighthouse, or to one of three nearby beaches where you can find your own secluded spot to lounge on the sand. Explore the sea caves and tidal pools, and possibly catch a glimpse of a seal or a porpoise playing in the bay. Kayak these waters and explore this shoreline that has the highest tides in the world. Here . . . you can walk on the ocean floor.

Equipments:
"Breath of Heaven" has our signature view looking out onto a huge rock in the bay where you can see the tide rise and fall. At low tide you can actually walk out and climb to the top of that rock.
The cottage sleeps up to 4 people with a queen bed on the main floor and 2 cots in the loft. (If more space is required there is also a retreat cabin nearby which sleeps 1.)
The cottage is equipped with a three piece bath including double soaker tub/shower, a wood stove, and a kitchenette (fridge, hotplate, microwave, counter top oven, coffee maker) There are heated ceramic tile floors in the kitchen and bath, and hardwood floors throughout. All your bedding, linens, dishes and utensils are supplied.
You'll find a BBQ on the deck, a hammock for lounging, and a campfire pit, all with beautiful views to the bay.

Four Seasons of wonderful activities. The trails offer their own gifts for the senses, whether you explore with sneakers, hiking boots or show shoes.
These beaches are very secluded and wonderful to explore both summer and winter. You'll find the highest tides in the world right here, (up to 33 feet) and the action of the tides keeps the Bay of Fundy from freezing and the beach free of snow. It's breathtaking . . . Summer and Winter!
