Description
|
Sunny south facing 4 season cottage with an incredible view- 2 bdrm + lakeside Bunkie. Set in the heart of the picturesque Madawaska Valley this cottage is in an extremely peaceful setting on a pristine protected lake. With hills surrounding it you will feel like you've escaped to a beautiful mountain retreat. Healing Waters is located at the end of a very quiet cottage road nestled amongst mature red and white pines. Raglan White Lake is medium size and is 1/2 Crown Land with 3 small islands. The water is clean and crystal clear. The lake is quite quiet with minimal boat traffic. For the fishing enthusiasts the lake has trout, bass, whitefish among others. Our shoreline has a smooth rock entry, not mucky or weedy, can wade in or deeper entry off dock. Relax on the deck(s) or dock, listen to the call of the loons and breath in the fresh pine scented air. There are lovely walking/hiking trails 200 m behind the cottage through the woods. Two great farmers markets nearby (May 24 -Thanksgiving), unique shops in both Barry's Bay and Bancroft as well as golf courses. There is also an amazing Italian restaurant at a local B&B roughly 4 minutes drive from the cottage.
For those that want to bring their own boat there is a boat launch just down the road.
Cottage is within an hours drive to Algonquin Park and 7 minutes to Madawaska River and White Water paddling as well as, town of Palmer Rapids with liquor and small grocery store.

Wow we love it here. It is so relaxing and beautiful. I was wondering if by chance whoever is coming in next week isn't able to come till later than Saturday, if we would pay extra to stay. No harm in checking. I don't want to leave this peaceful, lovely place.
