Absolutely amazing weekend. This cabin is purely beautiful. Scout the dog was so amazing and friendly ! She always came by to say hello and just hang out ! The dock and the canoes were perfect ! I will most definitely be staying there again !

Lovely little hole in the wall. Completely undersold by the ad. The pictures do not do this tiny little cabin justice. My girlfriend and I escaped here for the weekend to relax and forget about our busy lives and it worked. Couldnt believe the value this place gives. Not only in the lovely woods that surround the cabin but in how well set up it is. You want for nothing as you sit on the porch and just watch the world move around you. Just bring your own food cooler and water. Sue supplies everything you will need. Be prepared to live without power and running water though. Also when you visit say hi to genie for me. We are planing on making it a somewhat annual trip. I've been home a day and already miss the little place.

Upon arrival I was taken by Sue on her 4 wheeler to the cabin. It was a brief but beautiful drive through the woods to a clearing. After taking my belongings to the cabin we settled on a time for me to be picked up. Sue left and I was alone in the woods with only the sound of nature around me. I explored the area around the cabin and found many trails through the woods, one leading to the lake and two canoes. Sitting by the water I listened to the loons calling and the birds overhead. I spent Friday to Monday at Strawberry Hill and left with only one regret, I should have stayed for the week. Strawberry hill is a gem for those who love nature, tucked away in the beautiful countryside south of Bancroft. I will be back.

We stayed for three nights this past Civic Holiday long weekend. The owner is super friendly and so is her dog Genie! The cabin was very private and clean. The small floating dock/raft was the perfect place to jump in the lake, relax, and soak up the sun. We cooked our dinners on the grill on the camp fire, and used the propane stove for everything else. The meadow was ideal for fireside stargazing!

We would definitely recommend this rental for anyone looking for a secluded outdoor getaway!
