Bordering the Gatineau Park and located at the entrance of Lake Philippe, the Dragonfly Cottage is nestled on a beautiful land of 3.8 acres surrounded by the Gatineau Park, a 10 acre farm and the La Pêche river runs in the back. The Dragonfly Cottage is in the beautiful municipality of La Pêche at 3.5 kms to Lake Philippe, 15 kms to Lake Lapêche and 20 minutes to Mackenzie King Estate in Chelsea.
Many kilometers for cycling, mountain biking and hiking at your doorstep!
During the summer, the cost per day per car is $10 (2012) for Lake Philippe and Lake Lapêche.
You will find 2 beaches at Lake Philippe. Breton Beach is the longest beach on Lake Philippe and offers lots of shade for picnics and relaxation. Parent Beach is smaller than Breton and offers lots of sandy and sunny space.
The beach on Lake Lapêche is long and sandy and offers lots of sunny and shady space. There are no define bicycling or hiking trails.
At both lakes, you will find canoe, kayak and paddle boat rental.
In the winter, the trails turn to cross-country trails and the snowshoeing is endless.
The house is fully equipped with beddings, linen and a great kitchen for cooking. We do provide a good choice of movies and you can also bring your own movies and games.
Visit the picturesque village of Wakefield located 8 kms from the cottage and where you wil find great shopping, fine dining and live music.
