Location Information: Chalet Island view is situated on Allumette Island, and overlooks a wide, island-filled part of the Ottawa River, known as Lac des Allumettes. The town of Chapeau, with a small grocery store, butcher, restaurant and bakery is a 10 minute drive, and the city of Pembroke, with shopping malls, cinemas and famers market is a quick 20 minute drive. Petawawa is a short boat ride across the river.
