Cottage Rental Facilities
The Lodge has a footprint of over 10,000 square feet (~1/3 is off-limits). There is a finished common area of approx 3,500 sq ft. Includes a full kitchen with every appliance, full laundry room, library with 1000's of books, pool room, lounge and bar, ping-pong table, air hockey, board games, etc... bbq, pots & pans, glasses, china, cutlery, etc, are all included as is all bedding, pillows, towels, extra sleeping bags, etc.
Huge "party room" (over 3,500 sq ft - great for rainy days)! Extensive decks overlooking the Lake (southern exposure) - large lakeside docks.
The Lodge has an attached guest suite – full bathroom, three bedrooms (#1: double bed; #2: queen and single; #3: two queen bunk beds). There are also several fold-out couches. Additional rooms in the Lodge with 4 single bunks; 1 queen bedroom and 2 rooms each with a double and single.
Rates
Facility is selectively rented to only one group at a time; (rentals are predominantly by the week)
Rates:
High season rate for 2008 (May 24 week-end to Thanksgiving week-end) is $ 6,000/week for the entire facility including the guest house. Holidays $1,000/night. Balance of the year is $750/night. A booking deposit is required together with a post-dated cheque (dated 30 days prior to arrival) for the balance. 5% GST applies to all rates.

Open all year, we function as a private club and focus on weddings and festive events, family reunions, multi-family vacations. Over the winter months, we host retreats and workshops, corporate meetings. etc. Great winter get-a-way!

Notes
We try to host weddings from Wednesdays to Tuesdays (6 nights) mostly in May, June, September & October and have hosted 14 weddings in the past 3 years.
We live on site in a separate residence and are readily accessible if you have any problems or need something during the course of your stay.

We are about mid-point on the Rideau Waterway (a UNESCO World Heritage site) which extends from Ottawa to Kingston. Our location on the North Shore of Big Rideau Lake is directly across from the Village of Portland (on Highway #15).
