Description
|
Set in cedar and birch forest on 8 acres high above Tappen Bay/Salmon Arm, this Single story 2 Bedroom plus loft, cedar cabin with Vaulted ceilings and skylights in all rooms, provides panoramic views of Shuswap lake and surrounding mountains. The Large veranda and deck are accessible from each of the 3 rooms. A natural stream with waterfall and pond are at the front door with a wooden bridge over the stream on the pathway from the car park.
The setting is rural and the property is 8 1/2 acres so there is room to roam. There are no neighbours within sight or hearing range so kids can be kids. Although the lake is close, the nearest public beach is 5 minutes drive and there is a Provincial Park another 5 minutes further on with a walking trial to a falls and lots of public beach area for swimming, walking, rock skipping , exercising the dog or whatever.
The cottage has air conditioning. Just bring yourself and food -everything else is provided. There is a full kitchen with all the equipment and a BBQ and a fire pit. There is wood for the stove (supplemental to electric heat) but an axe has been positioned seductively at the wood pile if you wish to double the heat generation by splitting your own wood. We could even cut down a tree for those who want the lumber jack experience and there is a target for axe throwing or you could just read by the stream.

Equipments:
Each BR has a queen bed and there are 2 Mate beds in the loft via a spiral stairs. There is also a hide-a-bed in the LR. Unit is fully furnished including TV/DVD, MW, oven/ cook top, Coffee maker, W/D and place settings for 6. There is no TV reception in the area so bring movies for the kids. Bath has shower only- no tub. There is also a 5th wheel trailer on the property which could be rented for extra space.

Location Information: On TCH 6 km west of Salmon Arm, Lt on 50th Ave and Rt at nxt intersection- 40st,NW,/Kault Hill Rd for 4 km. Rt on Kault Hill and right (sharp turn) at first driveway in 300metres. Cabin is first left before the gate.
From West, approx 90km E of Kamloops and 19k east of Sorrento is the Co-op and Esso on left. Turn rt in 1 km on 65 Ave just after View Point Motel-turn Rt again at "T" on 40St/Kault Hill Rd-remainder same as approaching from East.
